In a world where people are starting to use ChatGPT to fricken comment on social media posts…does your business use AI to write its newsletters?

Please stop.

You know why?

Because YOU, my dear, are:

  • an individual with distinctly remarkable qualities (after all - you DID start this kick ass business, right?!?)
  • a small business owner who is not only competing with “the big guys” but allllll the other small businesses who happen to sell the exact same “thing” you do
  • the human being behind this stunning business BRAND that you worked SO hard to build (translation: why aren’t you showing it off with every email that you send??)

As a small business owner in this tough economy, where hundreds (thousands?) of new businesses are starting up every single day…you cannot afford to be forgotten once you finally catch someone’s eye.

There is a time and place to use ChatGPT for your business.

But your newsletter - and most importantly, your Welcome Sequence - is not one of them.

Your particular one-of-a-kind Welcome Sequence:

Defines your VALUE

Instead of “competing” based on price - why are you not out there accentuating your value?

When you immediately position your business in a way that makes clients go, “oh yeah - they are different!,” you are no longer viewed as a commodity, and can’t be reduced to a price tag.

It’s apples vs. oranges, baby.

Sets the TONE

Put yourself in your client's shoes.

Now - how do you want this new relationship to feel? Conversational? Educational? Simple and spelled out? Jam-packed with useful tidbits?

Or boring and generic - like something they could easily get off Google without having to fork over their email address first?

Deepens the CONNECTION

You just made a new contact. Do you want to become besties? Or repel them from doing business with you? How about: both? 😱

While it may seem like it sucks to “lose” people right away, are they truly “lost” if they never would have bought from you in the first place? Never would have referred you out to friends? Never would have opened or clicked on future emails (which drags down your CTR, which then reduces your delivery rate)?

No, they are not "lost." They were never your people in the first place, and probably only signed up for the freebie. Kinda like those "friends" who come over to eat your food at a party...but never volunteer to help clean up afterwards. Do those people add value to your life? Or do they just pad your number of "friends" - but without any true ROI?

The purpose of a mailing list is to GROW it so that when you DO have something to sell…you have a frenzy of excited people already waiting (and are willing!) to buy.

Your mailing list is not a game of Pokemon. The goal is not to collect (or keep) them all.

Our primary goal (as a small business owner with limited funds - and even less time to waste) is to focus on building relationships with the people who WANT to do business with us in the first place.

Full stop.

This is why I don’t want you to entrust your most important “how do you do?” process to a robot.

This is why I want you to write that shit yourself.

(pretty please with a cherry on top! 🍒)

“But how, Stell?”

I got you, fam. 😉

Welcome Sequence "Write With Me" Workshop

The place to write your Welcome Sequence, together.

$145.00 USD

From January 5-9, 2026, I’ll be hosting a 5-day “Write With Me” Workshop + Community specifically focused on writing a Welcome Sequence for your business.

If you’re the type who needs someone to review (aka “bless”) their work before you are confident enough to publish it, let's do this!

I will be LIVE in our community during workshop week (Jan 5-9) to provide immediate verbal feedback and answer any questions that are keeping you stuck:

  • 6:30 AM - 8:00 AM (Houston time)
  • 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM (Houston time)
  • 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM (Houston time)

P.S. as a thank you for helping launch this little community of mine, you get to stay in it for-EH-ver!

(future workshop attendees will only have community access for a limited time, after which a monthly/annual subscription fee will apply if they wish to remain inside)

What this means: if it takes a weeeeee bit longer to write than you originally thought - or you (or your business!) decide to change audiences or offerings in the future - you still have a go-to place to request written feedback for your Welcome Sequence.

Can't wait to see you inside!
